China Rips U.S. Claims on Weapons Sales

China on Friday denounced accusations by top U.S. officials that it was selling weapons to Iran and North Korea amid nuclear tensions with the two regimes. Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang called the criticism “groundless and irresponsible,” the official Xinhua News Agency said. No other details were given.

Last week’s successful test of a U.S. Ground-Based Interceptor was a major step in America’s “quiet neutralization” of China’s nuclear deterrent, StrategyPage.com reported Sept. 5.
