Fifth Inter-Korean General-level Military Talks
Pyongyang, May 11 (KCNA) -- The fifth north-south general-level military talks came to a close Friday.
At the talks both sides reached a series of agreements after discussing the issues of preventing military clashes in the West Sea, realizing joint fishing there and taking measures for providing military guarantees necessary for inter-Korean economic cooperation and exchange and thoroughly implementing the military agreements already adopted between the north and the south.

6th Inter-Korean General-Level Military Talks
Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- The 6th north-south general-level military talks opened in the portion of the south side in Panmunjom Tuesday.
At the talks both sides continued the discussion on the main agenda item of the talks "On military measures to prevent clashes in the waters of the West Sea of Korea and realize joint fishing there."
Lieut. General of the Korean People's Army Kim Yong Chol, head of the north side's delegation, made a contrastive analysis of the differing stances and attitudes of both sides that have so far been manifested in the discussion and accused the south side of its wrong approach towards the issue of the peace of the country and military detente.

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was in Japan yesterday. At a press conference he discussed recent developments on the North Korean nuclear issue, as well as cyclone relief in Burma. Let's take a look.

U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says North Korea's recent move to destroy its cooling tower at its plutonium-producing reactor is very encouraging.
