Typical Burst of North Korea
LESSON 1: Listen to your family. *A news report says the North Korean military has rejected South Korea's response to its recent provocations. North Korea has also test-fired missiles and expelled South Korean officials from a jointly run industrial zone, apparently in angry response to the tougher policies of South Korea's new conservative...

N. Korea may have fired more missiles
Hello and welcome to a UPI headline update. I'm Kristin Volk on this Thursday, the 7 day of June 2007. North Korea may have fired short-range missiles into the West Sea today. South Korean officials are confirming this intelligence. They say the country could have fired one or two. A South Korean news agency is reporting that the firing is believed to be a test. This comes two weeks after North Korea fired a short-range missile into the East Sea. U.S. President Bush is saying "enough is enough" in Darfur. The President made the remark today in Germany at the G8 summit. He says he's frustrated that the international community hasn't done more to stop the violence there. Bush says he'll call on other G8 leaders to enact sanctions against the Sudanese government, which is something the...

North Korea Conducts Missile Tests
ANCHOR: South Korean media reports that North Korea has fired two missiles into the Yellow Sea as part of routine military maneuvers. American and Japanese troops are closely monitoring the situation, but see no immediate threat. STORY:
The North fired the missiles yesterday into the Yellow Sea
as part of routine military training.
[Kim Ho-nyeon, South Korean Unification Ministry]: "We understand the missile-firing as a usual military exercise
routine. The North usually holds winter training with short-range
missiles."
But South Korean defense officials are not confirming the report.
The missile tests come as the U.S. Navy presents its ships in the area for South Korean review. About 28,500 American soldiers are stationed in South Korea to support the country's...

KOREAN BEEF: North Korea's Nuclear Weapons
In April 2003, North Korean officials admitted for the first time that their nation possessed the ability to build nuclear weapons. Many experts suggest that the possible possession of nuclear weapons by a so-called rogue state such as North Korea sets the stage for a far more serious conflict than the war with Iraq. Just how should the United States try to diffuse the Korean crisis? Can diplomatic efforts succeed where they have previously failed? Will the United States have to consider military options? And just what is North Korea hoping to accomplish by fomenting this crisis?

North Korea National Anthem
An independent kingdom for much of its long history, Korea was occupied by Japan in 1905 following the Russo-Japanese War. Five years later, Japan formally annexed the entire peninsula. Following World War II, Korea was split with the northern half coming under Soviet-sponsored Communist domination. After failing in the Korean War (1950-53) to conquer the US-backed Republic of Korea (ROK) in the southern portion by force, North Korea (DPRK), under its founder President KIM Il Sung, adopted a policy of ostensible diplomatic and economic "self-reliance" as a check against excessive Soviet or Communist Chinese influence. The DPRK demonized the US as the ultimate threat to its social system through state-funded propaganda, and molded political, economic, and military policies around the core...

North Korea raises tension with a missile launch
Anna Chan: North Korea has test-launched several short-range missiles today in what analysts say is a show of anger towards Washington and South Korea. Here's more. The launch comes one day after the North expelled South Korean officials from a joint industrial complex. The new government in Seoul has told its communist neighbors to clean up its human rights abuses and get on with nuclear disarmament talks. South Korean officials say the missile launches were part of a military exercise. [Lee Dong-Kwan, Blue House Spokesperson]: "It looks like part of a regular military exercise to the Blue House and we are closely monitoring the situation... We believe the North does not want a deterioration of relations between the South and the North." New South Korean president Lee Myung-bak says...

South Korean President Response to North
Anna Chan: Today South Korea's president rebuffed the latest taunts from North Korea. President Lee Myung-bak is telling his communist neighbor to change its tone and get back to serious dialogue. In the past week, the North has hurled personal insults at President Lee Myung-bak, tested missiles and threatened to reduce the wealthy South to ashes. [Lee Myung-bak, S. Korean President]: "We propose that the two sides engage in sincere dialogue, and in order to do so, we believe the North has to move away from its previous ways and actions." Last week North Korea demanded South Korea's military chief apologize for his comment at Parliament in Seoul. He said South Korea would carry out a preemptive strike on potential North Korean nuclear facilities if North Korea shows signs of attacking...

UFO Coverup at Nuke Missile Sites
America's nuke missile sites have been disapproportionally sighting UFO's. On several critial times(Korea and Vietnam Wars) the missiles had been shutdown by strong magnetic-electric pulses when UFOs were observed above the nuke missile silos.
