This year China's trade deficit with the United States is expected to top $250bn, as imports flood in and exports fail to find a market with Chinese consumers.
In return, jobs have flowed into China from the US, a trend both US presidential candidates have vowed to reverse.
But how serious is the problem facing the next American President and beyond the political rhetoric, is there anything he can really do?

Suspicions mar US-China military relations - 20 Oct 08
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been spoken about it in great detail during the election campaign so far. But it seems military threats from other sources are still of great concern to US voters.
A recent survey conducted by the Financial Times found that China was the country that most Americans perceived as a potential military threat.

Russia and China threatening US air supremacy in
Threats to us Air Supremacy.
The US Air Force Association, which includes past and present US air force generals, has just posted an assessment entitled Threats to Air Supremacy on its web site.
In short, the air force generals are explaining to US residents and the world that America is about to lose air superiority to the Russians and Chinese and that these two countries are exporting their new weapons to anyone who will buy them.
Usa is losing the plot, because of their over concentration on a minor area of the overall market the war on terror.
