As you can see, the battle mode is definitely influenced by Final Fantasy in many ways. It has the familiar turn gauges that have been around since Final Fantasy V. However, SNK implemented two gameplay modes to choose from to make a comfortable playing experience for two demographics: The hardcore fighting gamer, and the role player.
