Pac-Man - The History Of Pac-Man Part 1 ( Icons TV Documentary)
Watch in Hi-Qual stereo via this link:
http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=8i3KC3KKEXM&fmt=18
Pac-Man (パックマン, Pakku man?) is an arcade game developed by Namco and licensed for distribution in the U.S. by Midway, first released in Japan on May 22, 1980. Pac-Man is universally considered as one of the classics of the medium, virtually synonymous with video games, and an icon of 1980s popular culture. Upon its release, the game became a social phenomenon that sold a bevy of merchandise and also inspired, among other things, an animated television series, and music.
When Pac-Man was released, most arcade video games in North America were primarily space shooters such as Space Invaders, Defender, or Asteroids. The most visible minority were sports games that were mostly derivative of...

Truthslayer's Q and A for 07-10-2008
Londrick : who do you think was a better ROH champion Samoa Joe or Bryan Danielson?
CheesyTater : Hey TS: I am not a real ROH fan but I have seen the CM Punk vs Samoa Jeo matches. Do you think that those two will ever have a feud in WWE or TNA? And do you have a preferance as to what company they meet in.
scipio2009 : Do you think that the fact that Pro Wrestling NOAH is, pretty much, just All Japan 2002, affect the way that puro fans around the world see it's impact in today's scene?
Cuda123087 : Here's a question for you sir. For those of you that don't know, ROH's 200th Show is coming up in September. The way that the scheduling was working out, it looked as if that show would be September 20th at the New Alhambra Arena. But a couple weeks ago, ROH announced two shows in Japan on...

Instablogs global Report 03-September-2008
Japan undergoing disturbing shift in its demographic composition
Japan the world's second largest economy is undergoing a disturbing shift in its demographic composition so that population loss will strip the country of 70 percent of its population. Reason being: an alarming decline in country's fertility rate with increasing number of women delaying marriages and postponing childbirth. Most of the working women in Japan face a stark choice: the career track, in which they will acquire financial independence while remaining single and childless, or the family track, which makes them full-time mothers until they are in their mid- to late 40s. Japan desperately needs women to marry and have children while also continuing to work. But corporate bias causes only about a third of women in...

pacman YER 2007
pecman YER 2007 . The original title was The game was developed primarily by Namco employee Toru Iwatani over 18 monthspronounced pakku-man (パックマン, pakku-man?) and was inspired by the Japanese onomatopoeic phrase paku-paku taberu (パクパク食べる, paku-paku taberu?),[8] where paku-paku describes (the sound of) the mouth movement when widely opened and then closed in succession.[9] Although it is often cited that the character's shape was inspired by a pizza missing a slice,[3] he admitted in a 1986 interview that it was a half-truth and the character design also came from simplifying and rounding out the Japanese character for mouth, kuchi (口) as well as the basic concept of eating.[10] Iwatani's efforts to appeal to a wider audience — beyond the typical demographics...

Samurai Spirits Bushidohretsuden (Sega Saturn) Gameplay Demo
Here's a controller-in-hand demo of SSRPG. I also own the Neo Geo CD version and wanted to make these videos on the NGCD system, but am unable to because my NGCD system is on its last leg.
As you can see, the battle mode is definitely influenced by Final Fantasy in many ways. It has the familiar turn gauges that have been around since Final Fantasy V.
However, SNK implemented two gameplay modes to choose from to make a comfortable playing experience for two demographics: The hardcore fighting gamer, and the role player.
First there's the Fighting Mode. Basically the Final Fantasy 3/6 Sabin Figaro Blitz system has resurfaced. You execute your moves through D-Pad inputs as if you played the SS fighters.
For the hardcore RPG players that are not too keen on the fundamentals of...

The Next Emerging Markets to Explore
The economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China (BRIC) dominate most discussions on emerging markets, but attention is now turning to lesser known countries with attractive demographic profiles and high growth rates.
Which economies are the most plausible successors to the emerging markets of choice outside of the BRICs, and to the BRICs themselves?
Herman Gref, Chief Executive Officer, Sberbank RF, Russian Federation; Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation (2000-2007)
Angel Gurría, Secretary-General, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Paris

Never Too Far
The second single of the "Glitter" album, "Never too far", was released on September 24, 2001. Billboard Magazine writes about this single: "Virgin goes for the gusto with a shimmering ballad that showcases the singer/songwriter excelling at what made her a famous a decade ago: singing the hell out of a straight ahead love song free of gimmicks, gymnastics and self-conscious attempts at targeting any particular demographic."
In Europe and Australia, this single was a double A-side with "Don't stop (funkin' for Jamaica)". In Japan, "Reflections (care enough)" was released as the second single. In the USA, only "Loverboy" was released as a commercial single.
The video for this single was taken from the movie "Glitter". The record company wanted Mariah to film a new video, but having...
