China too good for Socceroos
Sun Xiang has struck a memorable winner as China completed their failed 2010 World Cup qualification campaign with a 1-0 victory against already-qualified Australia at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
Sun scored the only goal of the game with a sweet strike from outside the penalty area after 12 minutes to condemn the hosts to their first home defeat in the tournament since losing to New Zealand in 1981.
And it could have been worse for the Socceroos with Zheng Zhi missing a twice-taken penalty 14 minutes from time. It was tough on the China substitute after the referee had ordered him to re-take his kick after slotting home at the first time of asking.
With qualification to the final round of World Cup qualifying assured...

We, Australian Chinese and Chinese overseas students expressed outrage at the serious sabotage to the Beijing Olympic Torch Relays in London, Paris, San Francisco and some other places!
With righteous indignation, over 20,000 Australian Chinese and Chinese overseas students mobilized themselves spontaneously, and converged on Canberra, the Australian Capital, on 24th April 2008.
However, instead of condemning the act of sabotage to the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay and the violation of the Olympic Spirits, the Western media, including some Australian media, described us, Australian Chinese and Chinese overseas students, who came to Canberra at our own expenses and supported voluntarily...

The Australian Version of Beijing Welcomes You (北京欢迎你）is finally here, featuring Australian Chinese students!
As a Chinese student who was born and raised in Melbourne, I would have liked to go to Beijing this year to watch the Olympics, however, Year 12 has prevented that from happening...
To compensate, I decided to create my own version of the music video "Beijing Welcomes You"（北京欢迎你). I wanted to show that even though we can't go to the Olympics, we still support the Olympic Spirit!
No matter what country we are from, no matter what country we are living in now, as people living together on this world, we should do our best to make this world a better place, to build a better future for humanity. One World One Dream!

Tight security for Australia Olympic relay
The Olympic torch has completed the latest leg of its relay - in the Australian capital Canberra - without major disruption.
There were several arrests over isolated scuffles with both pro- and anti-China demonstrators.
Local police took complete control of security, keeping China's controversial flame guards at a distance.
David Hardaker reports from Canberra.
