Iran has persistently claimed it is not seeking nuclear weapons and that its nuclear energy program is for civilian use only. However, reminiscent to the false accusations running up the Iraq war, President Bush charges that Iran has "threatened other countries with nuclear weapons"—this is patently false.

Iran says Gulf oil route at risk if attacked.. possible this could be the precursor to world war iii and possible causing oil price to go ballistic.
"Regarding the main route for exiting energy, Iran will definitely act to impose control on the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz," Jafari said of the Gulf waterway through which about two-fifths of all globally traded oil passes.
Jafari said U.S. forces were "more vulnerable than Israelis" because of their troops in the area. Iran's top authority, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has in the past said Iran would target U.S. interests if attacked.
"Iran can in different ways harm American interests even far away," the Guards commander said.

British energy minister in 1975, says America asked britain to adopt American system in their nuclear power plant and also they were told if they do so Shah of Iran will buy their nuclear program. So he goes on trip to Tehran in 1976 and talks with shah about American nuclear program for 3 hours. And he adds the American purpose of such a suggestion was gaining the control of Iran and they are still trying to do so. He says if you are among the US allies you can even have nuclear bomb but if you are not, you are not even allowed to have peacful nuclear program.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Thursday night that with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Mohammad ElBaradei's report on the Islamic Republic of Iran's peaceful nuclear program, all nations will find out that IRI is right. Ahmadinejad made the remark in the 11th Conference of Best Book on the Holy Defense (marking the Iraqi imposed war 1980-1988). The Iranian president said, "We welcome the process, in which IAEA has enhanced its role," adding, "With the release of the report, all nations around the world will see that Iranian nation are right and entitled to acquire peaceful nuclear energy."
