A report on CNN about indian missile technology. India declared its Agni 1 and 2(it's primary nuclear deterent) reliable on the basis of just 3 tests. In contrast its neighbour, Pakistan, carried out over 300 tests on it's missiles. India has been buying Israeli
missiles because the concerns of its generals.

India successfully test fired N- capable 'Shaurya' Missile - Proud 2B Indian
India successfully test fired 'Shaurya', a medium-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile, to be used by its Army.
With a 600-km range, the missile is capable of hitting targets deep inside Pakistan and China.

India to test Interceptor missile
Preparations for the trial of India's Interceptor missile development programme have reached its final stage. India will conduct its second test of Interceptor missile today.Two missiles will be involved in the exercise. One will be used as the target, the other as the interceptor missile. The target missile is a modified version of India's Prithvi ballistic missile.

The Brahmos Supersonic Cruise Missile (Part 1)
The BrahMos is a supersonic cruise missile that can be launched from submarines, ships, aircraft or land. It is a joint venture between Russia's Mashinostreyenia, and India's Brahmos corp. Propulsion is based on the Russian Yakhont missile, while guidance is developed by Brahmos corp., established in India is a joint venture between India and Russia. BrahMos is currently one of the few supersonic cruise missiles in the world and at speeds of 2.5 to 2.8 Mach is about 3 times faster than the subsonic cruise missile, BGM-109_Tomahawk.

India builds defence missile shield with US
India is soon to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States to boost its missile defence system. The MoU is aimed at giving India the state of the art technology that will allow it to intercept any threat from ballistic missiles. In the cold war era Russian and Americans were in a state of conflict, tension and competition. Both the superpowers were engaged in costly defence spending and in a massive conventional and nuclear arms race and numerous proxy wars.
