Iran accused of arming the Taliban - 1 Dec 08
Casualties among US and Nato troops in Afghanistan have been rising and the US-led foreign forces accuse Iran of supplying the Taliban with sophisticated weapons.
Some of those weapons, including landmines, have been intercepted at the border by the Afghan police.
Al Jazeera's David Chater reports from Afghanistan on the power game being played out amid the conflict.

Postcard to U.S. President: Tehran
People in Iran sent their first wishes to new U.S. President-elect Barak Obama.
Speaking on the streets of Tehran, individuals said they hoped the change of administration in Washington would bring about a new foreign policy towards Iran.

Iranian exiles in the US are harnessing the power of the media to provoke regime change back home. Through uncensored satellite broadcasts they hope to encourage the masses to rise.
Zia Atabay was once a famous pop star in Iran. Now, he's pouring his money into his own personal TV station to send his message back home. "I know the Iranian government is dangerous," he states. By publicising dire images of the regime's misdeeds, he hopes to bring about change. Other satellite broadcasters are using more subtle methods to bring down the government.
