Russia warns of new arms buildup if US deploys missile system in Europe

MOSCOW, March 16 (KUNA) — A high level Russian military official warned on Friday the United States from deploying an Air defense missile shield system in Europe, saying it will lead to another era of an arms race.

	European Ballistic Missile Defense The United States has signed a deal with Poland allowing it to install missiles at a base on the Baltic Sea. It already has an agreement to build a radar station in the Czech Republic. The deals form part of US plans for a European missile defence shield to counter what it describes as the threat from "rogue states" such as Iran.
