Protecting passengers and goods transport in Europe

Following the September 11 attacks, the EU put in place a raft of regulations to tighten up security at ports and airports. For this sequel I tried to fix quality problems I had with my first release with using better ingame settings and better rendering options for the final rendering.
For the editing itself I didn't followed any rules, I took time to find some music I appreciate and tried to make a good synchro without thinking too much about colors and crazy effects.

Greek Fires: European solidarity

Europe has rushed to help Greece in its fight against fires devastating its southern regions.
The EU has a Community mechanism in place to facilitate reinforced cooperation in civil protection assistance. Monitoring and Information Centre (MIC) coordinated the offers of many member states and in total 18 fire-fighting planes, 18 specialised helicopters and nearly 100 fire-fighters had been sent to Greece.

Making Europe's consumers safer

The RAPEX rapid alert system for dangerous consumer products is proving a success throughout Europe. The system is intended to address risks to health and safety through the rapid exchange of information between EU countries. When a non-food product is found to be dangerous, the national authorities notify the commission which can then either ban the product or let it be sold on certain conditions. In April, the EU revealed the results of the 2006 RAPEX report, which highlights a sharp rise in the number of notifications resulting in the withdrawal from the market of many products.

Today the European Union has the most environmentally-friendly arsenal of rules in the world and has done more to tackle pressing ecological problems, such as climate change, than any other major power. But it has not always been like this. Caring for the environment did not feature in the Treaty of Rome, the document that gave birth to the modern day EU. Yet environmental problems were never far away. Europe's love affair with the car was moving into top gear, industry was busy belching out pollutants and raw sewage was being pumped into our rivers and seas.
