Propeller of a Ballistic-Missile Submarine Now Appears on the Internet

The Navy goes to great lengths to conceal the design of its submarine propellers, but the aerial photo now on the Internet clearly shows the blades.

While he confirmed that the photo does show an Ohio-class hull, Lt. Cmdr. Chris Loundermon, submarine force public affairs officer, said it’s unclear what submarine is pictured.

Yes, that is an Ohio-class submarine, either an SSBN or SSGN, in dry dock in the Pacific Northwest at the intermediate maintenance facility on the Naval Submarine Base Kitsap-Bangor, he said.

My Comment:

I suspect that this is an elaborate ruse to throw off Chinese intelligence. Why? Because this is such a basic mistake of huge proportions that one must conclude that it isn’t a mistake. The U.S. military wanted the Chinese to see this picture.

Skillfully crafting a new propeller blade could throw off the Chinese for years. However, the Chinese wouldn’t know for sure, so they must expend resources to investigate this type of propeller design.

	USS Sealion II Rescuing Australian POW’s This video is from the US Submarine “USS SeaLion II” (SS-315) taken Sept 15, 1944, while rescuing British and Australian Soldiers, who are survivors of two Japanese Transport Ships the Rakuyo Maru, and the Kachidoki Maru, which were NOT MARKED as they should have been with any Red Cross Flag, and had been sunk 3 days earlier by American Submarines while the Japanese were hauling the POW’s from Malaysia to the Japanese Mainland. The Americans were totally unaware of the precious cargo they had just sunk. 	Raw Video: US Coast Guard intercepts drug running submarine In the last 6 months the US Coast Guard along with the US Navy have found 42 submersibles headed north towards the United States and off the coast of Central America. That is double the number found in the previous 5 years combined. These subs can carry as much as 10 tons of drugs or even weapons and some of the latest models can move 15 knots. This is obviously troubling and makes our war on the cartels that much more difficult. We are currently at Coast Guard Island in Alameda California, where the US Coast Guard Cutter Sherman is located.
