Seymour Hersh: Fatah Al-Islam Crisis in Lebanon
In an interview on CNN International's Your World Today, veteran journalist Seymour Hersh explains that the current violence in Lebanon is the result of an attempt by the Lebanese government to crack down on a militant Sunni group, Fatah al-Islam, that it formerly supported.
Last March, Hersh reported that American policy in the Middle East had shifted to opposing Iran, Syria, and their Shia allies at any cost, even if it meant backing hardline Sunni jihadists.
A key element of this policy shift was an agreement among Vice President Richard Cheney, Deputy National Security Advisor Elliot Abrams, and Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the Saudi national security adviser, whereby the Saudis would covertly fund the Sunni Farah al-Islam in Lebanon as a counterweight to the Shia Hezbollah.

US Muslim charity guilty of supporting Hamas 25 Nov 2008
Five officials of the now defunct Holy Land Foundation, once the biggest Muslim charity in the US, have been convicted of sending financial aid to Palestinian charities allegedly controlled by Hamas, listed by the US government as a terror group.
Al Jazeera's Tom Ackerman reports from Dallas, Texas, where the trial featured secret Israeli witnesses and drew accusations from the foundation's defenders that the government selectively prosecuted the charity.

Taliban Graduation - Suicide Bomb Teams Sent to US & Europe
Large teams of newly trained suicide bombers are being sent to the United States and Europe, according to evidence contained on a new videotape obtained by the Blotter on ABCNews.com. Teams assigned to carry out attacks in the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Germany were introduced at an al Qaeda/Taliban training camp graduation ceremony held June 9. A Pakistani journalist was invited to attend and take pictures as some 300 recruits, including boys as young as 12, were supposedly sent off on their suicide missions. Brothers and sisters in Islam;
It has been narrated that a great companion by the name of Salman al-farisiyy radiyallahu ta^ala anhu said: The Prophet sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam addressed us the last day of Sha^ban before Ramadan and said: O people, Indeed a great and blessed month has approached us, a month which includes a night which is better than a thousand month, a month which Allah subhanahu wa ta^ala has made it an obligation to fast and made it Sunnah (recommended) to engage during its nights in acts of obedience and this is the month of patience. And the reward for patience is Paradise.
Then our beloved Prophet continued and said:
"It is the month of goodness, whoever invites a brother Muslim to break his fast during this month will earn forgiveness and safety from the torture...
