El presidente de Ecuador, Rafael Correa, desestimó este sábado las acusaciones del Gobierno colombiano y la Agencia Central de Inteligencia (CIA, por sus siglas en inglés) que pretenden vincular a su gobierno y al de Venezuela con las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC).
Durante su programa "Diálogo con el presidente", el mandatario ecuatoriano señaló que Estados Unidos arremete contra Venezuela porque saben que las pruebas contra Ecuador son muy débiles.
Destacó que tanto su gobierno como el de Venezuela "no tienen nada que ver con las FARC" y eso lo sabrán demostrar ambos países.

I find it hard to believe the claim of $50 to convert a vehicle to natural gas. The cost of a tank or carburetor/injector system would exceed $50. I suspect the cost is far greater than $50. I think someone might have slipped a digit. I would find $500 more believable. I suspect the Iranian conversion does not meet US emission or safety standards.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said crude oil would rise to ``$400 or $500'' a barrel in the event of a U.S. attack on his country, the biggest petroleum exporter in the Americas. The reactivation of the U.S. Fourth Fleet in the Caribbean on July 1 and what he said is a possible U.S. base on the Guajira Peninsula, shared by Venezuela and Colombia, are both threats, Chavez said in a speech broadcast last night from the military academy. Colombian Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos said his country doesn't plan to give the U.S. a base on the Guajira, EFE newswire reported yesterday. Iraq? -for oil?
A short video that examines the notion that the U.S. was motivated to attack Iraq for oil. As America tries to exit Iraq, the type of government left in control of Iraq and it's oil reserves is a crucial factor for a lot of people, including big business, but was oil really what launched the war in March 2003?
According to Iraq oil expert Mohammad Al-Gallani at British-based GeoDesign Ltd, Iraq has 526 prospective drilling sites, of which only 125 have been drilled. Of those, 90 have proven potential as oil fields, but only 30 have been partially developed and just 12 are on stream.

Fire in Oil Tower 14
This is the first of a series of videos I collected from some PDVSA engineers. You can see the impressive force of nature, being impossible to handle and, in some cases, to run away.
In all of this cases, the detonator was a mishandled of the well perforator (made in china). The mud was not properly controlled and the oil pressure finally blow the entire well.
This happened in Monagas, Venezuela - 2007.
This video was re-coded to reduce the file size (from MPG to DivX/mp3).
