Spy vs Spy: is East-West espionage on the rise?
There are new fears that espionage between East and West is on the increase, despite the end of the Cold War. Former foes continue to accuse one another of spying, with Britain's intelligence service, MI5, recently announcing it needs extra resources to keep an eye on the operations of Russia and China.

"Shanghai Heist" - Trailer (coming 09/2007)
This is a story about two Americans going to China to film "Another night of the living Dead" using the Terracotta Soldiers as the mutants. The emphasis is the relationship between the four main characters: Jacky, D, Jimmy, and Tinka. They start with the best intentions, but as the story develops, they begin to show their true colors. D and Jimmy are the two good-natured Americans. The story begins when D gets funding for his movie. The investors' money is drug money, of which D is not aware until it is too late. A conflicting event is when one of the cameras accidentally records a conversation. This recording turns out to be a cloak and dagger Taiwanese industrial espionage conversation. Their newly-purchased "wireless lapel microphones" taped the conversation. At this time the...

Government Analyst Charged With Selling Secrets To China
This video is inspired by the true story below:
A Defense Department analyst and two Chinese nationals living in New Orleans are facing spying charges today for allegedly selling military secrets to the Chinese government.
The FBI raided a home in an upscale, uptown New Orleans neighborhood today in connection with the espionage case.
All three are accused of selling U.S. data intended for Taiwan to the Chinese government in Beijing, federal law enforcement officials said.
The Justice Department said Tai Shen Kuo, 58, and Yu Xin Kang, 33, both of New Orleans, have been charged with conspiracy to disclose national defense information to a foreign government.
Defense Department analyst Gregg William Bergersen, 51, of Alexandria, Va., was charged in a separate complaint with...

Rare - 8375kHz Chinese spy numbers station
This is a rare catch, one I came across purely by chance.
It appears to be a null message, as the same set of numbers/characters are repeated. With some digging around, it translates as - "All listening stations in the country" three times, then "This is Beijing" two times, ending with "Thanks".
http://www.cvni.net/radio/e2k/e2k007/e2k07vs.html
Little work for the spy or government spook that the message was probably intended for.
Numbers stations such as these are used by various intelligence agencies to get messages to spies without them being traced.
This station rarely seems to send any actual spy number traffic, but there are recordings of numbers being read elsewhere. This is a good example, recorded back in 1999:

Communist China's a Threat to our World
CCP's Communist ideology is the enemy of democracy.
As for today's China, Western intelligence/espionage is more difficult in it than it was in Soviet Russia, since the Chinese language and culture are more different from their Western counterparts than were the Russian language and culture even in Stalin's Russia.
The result? The all-seeing Chinese intelligence/espionage versus the blind Western intelligence/espionage with respect to China. To quote one paragraph from "The Threat from China and the Threat from Inaction: Which Is Worse?"
The Chinese spies have already stolen EVERY U.S. nuclear weapons design, and have acquired U.S. MIRVing and other launching and targeting technologies. Further, as if this isn't enough, they also have acquired the supercomputers needed to design and...

Beware of China`s Spies
AAAA.011450Z DEC 2007 I would like to draw your attention to the writing in Chinese; By all accounts in the 1970`s plaques such as this one were posted all over the country to warn citizens against the activities of spies. It reads as follows:-`At all times protect secrets everywhere guard against spies.`The coat of arms you see next to the Chinese Warning is that of The Security Service MI5 ! And as the Tag I have have written underneath is worth reading,...But if you feel you do not want to read the Word of God ! We should be watching !...Now as we have heard of the increase in espionage from the Russians and now Chinese,it would be good to reflect what the N/T HEBREWS 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. This is...

FBI Confidential -- China's Cyber Terrorism?
According to a leaked secret FBI document, Chinese counterfeiters have sold close to 75 million dollars of fake Cisco Systems routers to the U.S. military.
This revelation raises troubling questions about both the integrity of U.S. defenses in cyberspace and the possible motives of a foreign government with a long rap sheet for military espionage and cyber hacking.
At least some of China's fake routers may be specially designed to provide Chinese hackers with undetectable "back doors" into the highest echelons of classified information throughout the defense department bureaucracy.
