Ashkelon Katyushas Came From Iran Via Egypt

Posted by Matt in February 29th, 2008

The Foreign Ministry pointed the finger at Tehran. “The Grad rockets fired today were apparently smuggled into Gaza from Iran via Egypt through tunnels and the breached Rafah border fence,” the dispatch stated. “Israel has repeatedly warned neighboring states and the international community about the arms buildup taking place in Hamas-controlled Gaza. Today’s attacks constitute a regretful yet unequivocal proof of the veracity of Israel’s warnings.”

Iranian Missiles Capable of Hitting Israel and US Bases
Nine long and medium-range missiles have been tested by Iran, including one which it has previously said could travel as far as Israel and U.S. bases in the region. The tests occurred at a time of increased tension between Iran and Israel over Tehran's disputed nuclear programme, which the West fears is aimed at making bombs. Iran says its nuclear programme is only for power generation. State Press TV said the missiles tested by Iran's Revolutionary Guards included the 'Shahab 3' missile, which officials have said could reach targets 2,000 km (1,250 miles) away. In response, a U.S. White House spokesman said Iran should "refrain from further missile tests if they truly seek to gain the trust of the world".

The US, Israel and missiles - 17 Oct 07
As Condoleezza Rice tours the Middle East, Ehud Barak is making his first visit to the US as Israel's defence minister. Barak discussed missile defence with his US counterpart Robert Gates on Tuesday. As preparations are being made for the latest peace conference, some wonder how effective the US can be in its role as peace-broker, given its close military ties to Israel. Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett reports.

Long overdue…

No other country in the world would accept missile barrages and sit on their hands. It is wholly unreasonable for the world to expect Israel to just sit there and take it.

To those crying about civilian deaths…Civilians die when they are in a war zone, which was created by the militants conducting warfare and hiding munitions in their midst.
Not that I give $.02 cents for “International law” (which is to say, political), but why aren’t these activists screaming about the militants violations of international law by hiding weapons in schools, homes, religious buildings, etc…? It is because they are anti-Israel, not pro law… Hypocrisy and deception!
