NASA wary of relying on Russia

Posted by Matt in March 7th, 2008

Tomorrow night, a European spacecraft is scheduled to blast off from French Guiana on its maiden voyage to the international space station, giving NASA and the world a new way to reach the orbiting laboratory.

For NASA, however, the launch of the Jules Verne Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) also highlights a stark reality: In 2 1/2 years, just as the station gets fully assembled, the United States will no longer have any spacecraft of its own capable of carrying astronauts and cargo to the station, in which roughly $100 billion is being invested. The three space shuttles will be retired by then, because of their high cost and questionable safety, and NASA will have nothing ready to replace them until 2015 at the earliest.

NASA - Space Shuttle Launch of Mission STS-117
Edited launch sequence, liftoff and first few minutes of filght of Mission STS-117, the Space Shuttle Program's 21st mission to the International Space Station. Rick Sturckow is commanding the mission and Lee Archambault is serving as Atlantis' pilot. Mission Specialists Patrick Forrester, James Reilly, Steven Swanson, John Olivas and Flight Engineer Clayton Anderson round out the crew to deliver the S3/S4 starboard truss segments, batteries and another pair of solar arrays to the space station. Anderson will replace Expedition 15 Flight Engineer Sunita Williams on station and Williams will return to Earth aboard Atlantis. Atlantis' crew will install a new set of solar arrays on the starboard side of the station. These arrays will be a mirror image of those installed on the port side in...

UFO, Never Doubt Again
Footage filmed during NASA Space Shuttle STS-80 Mission. Many camera's are filming the missions and all these video's, and communication between space & ground is being send to Houston (NASA) with satellite. In Canada there was a owner of a TV Station named: Martyn Stubbs, who could also receive the SAME NASA satellite video's, and he taped for more then 5 years all the mission's video's /communication that Houston was receiving. More of those footage is in the Documentaries: The Secret NASA Transmissions "the smoking gun" and "secret Space" dvd. (check Google.Video)

NASA UFO Original Footage STS115 PT1
NASA watching and tracking an object... Pan / Zoom and then three UFOs and then a forth UFO appears! No one says anything about the 4th object? They pan down for a second then pan back up like someone told them to stop watching the objects with the camera. Where are the photos that were taken? Many were taken. Now remember the Shuttle is in orbit going about 17,000 MPH and this object and then other objects appear from the left of the shuttle and then pass within 100 feet of the front of it. Space debris that happens to float by at 17,000 MPH in a triangle formation? A triangle formation very similar to other object formations viewed in Mexico and other parts of the world? Scientist need to study the various movies of these formations and see if the angles of the triangle footage are...
