oxi~ thanks for clearing up background on why the U.S. supports Kosovo against Serbia. I agree, this is a mistake… Not only did we support Muslims against Christians (thus giving them a stronger footing in Europe), but we did so at the expense of what could’ve been an opportunity for friendship between Russia and the United States.

Regarding the Anti-Israel comments made elsewhere… WAKE UP!
The siege against Israel is the siege against the entire Western world. Israel is just on the “front line”.

Israel~ though you will be surrounded by enemies with none to help (save Him), DO NOT BE AFRAID. The end is already written and JEHOVAH-SABAOTH is also your redeemer.

Yes, we all know about the Trepca Mines but what about the huge oil find in western Kosovo and eastern Albania? What about the AMBO billion dollar oil pipeline to be built in the region and Camp Bondsteel is to protect it?

Kosovo is a pawn, back in 1999 it was for the oil pipeline project and to bust up Milosevich’s monopoly in Serbia and open the last closed markets to greedy western businessmen, Clinton needed a war victory for 8 years in office, NATO needed something to celebrate after 50 years, Clinton also needed to get Lewinsky off the minds of the sheep.

Regarding Kosovo..do some research and anyone interested will find that Kosovo has some enormous gold and other metal resources. I think it has one of the largest gold mines in Europe…now under the control of the West. That’s what we were after…democracy for the Kosovars…nonsense!…It’s the GOLD!
Thank God for “google”…people can find out what’s really going on out there.

I actually agree with you about Kosovo’s independence. The U.S. blew it. I don’t know what we were thinking.

I always felt that the U.S. should stay out of Yugoslavia’s/Serbia’s business.

Sorry Matt…I might agree with you on a lot of issues but here is a case where Israel is NOT the good guy. Two years ago didn’t Saudi Arabia offer TOTAL recognition and normalization of relations with Israel if it would return to its 1967 borders…that was full trade, recognition, the whole nine yards including a peace treaty. What did Israel do? It said NO…it wants peace and it wants the land and control of all the natural resources…WATER being paramount here. Israel wants peace on its own terms only. Israel wants to ethnically cleanse all of greater Israel, something that seems undeniable.
Aren’t members of the Knesset talking about removing all Arabs from Israel. Just suppose Iran talked about throwing out all 30,000 Jews from Iran who’ve been there since Biblical times…you’d never hear the end of it. Suppose Morocco threatened to throw out all its Jews …same thing…there’d be cry of horror but it seems OK for Knesset members to talk like that.
I did not say that Israel was a NAZI state..I said it was Nazi like and its behavior IS very much Nazi like. What other supposedly civilized country today is doing what Israel is getting away with in the Gaza Strip…
So, Israel was offered peace, trade, normalization and it said NO!. It would not return to its UN agreed borders but it wants the UN to back its every damand now.
And what about that Mosul Haifa pipeline? No one seems to want to discuss it..probably because there’s no denying Israel wants Arab oil and wants to make sure the US guarantees that Israel gets it.
As for Jews being Nobel prize winners…no one I know of denies or belittles those accompolishments. Jews are intelligent people. It is Israel’s behavior that is the problem.

Wasn’t Serbia fighting Islamic terrorists called the KLA in Kosovo? You bet!

So why is the U.S./EU so hell bent on granting Kosovo independence in violation of international laws to appease known terrorists?

It’s called a double standard because with Kosovo as a backdrop the U.S. should be bombing Israel to hell.

Then again their is that billion dollar oil pipeline being built just south of Kosovo and Camp Bondsteel is there to protect it.

If only the truth would come out with such global affairs.

For those of you who still belive that Israel is a NAZI!? state first remember we are fighting a war against those who would kick us out of our homeland, we took nothing, just dig a few feet anywhere to find jewish relics here.

The helicopter fired missiles which so upset people are very special, a hellfire with the warhead removed is unstable in flight, so we had to replace it with cement, making it a laser guided big bullet.

If you think that an old man in a wheelchair is no threat you had better speak to Stalin, Hitler, and Tojo they had what to worry about with frail helpless old FDR running the country. We have never had any desire to eliminate every Arab or even all Germans
from the world.

There are those who must hate us, that is their
challenge, it is our duty to keep ourselves and our children alive.

I think you’re being too hard on Israel. It’s fighting for its life against regimes that want to destroy it.

To defend oneself against a people that want to destroy you does not make you a Nazi.

If you look at the accomplishments of Jews and Israelis then you can see that the world is much better off because of them.

Get a list of Noble Prize winners. Note which ones are Jewish and which ones are Muslim. The difference is shocking.

Next start looking at the accomplishments of Israel. It’s nothing short of amazing.

Jesus and the founding members of Christianity were all Jewish.

So Israel must be a nice little kingdom that only wants to live in peace and harmony and do good for all mankind. It wouldn’t hurt a fly or even think of trying to take what belonged to someone else. Israelis are such nice people.
Didn’t I just recently hear that Israel threatened a “holocaust” on the Palestinians…a HOLOCAUST!
A few years ago I seem to remember that Israel used a missile to shoot some old man in a WHEELCHAIR….A WHEELCHAIR for crying out loud.
Israel said he was a terrorist. He was shot with a missile fired from a helo…a real act of bravery.
Pardon me! But when I read about Israeli soldiers who are in tanks, armored personnel carriers, jet fighters and helos shooting at boys who are mostly armed with rocks and sticks I have a difficult time seeing them as the “good guys”. When Israeli soldiers can bulldoze the homes of Palestinians, deprive them of water, food and medical care it kinda sticks in your craw.
I wonder if the writer of this column is aware of Israels desire to get the old Mosul Haifa pipeline reopened? That old oil pipeline was shut down when Israel came into being but Israel wants to have it reopened to get its hands on Iraq’s oil. It wants what belongs to someone else…in this case Arab oil. Very typical of Israel..wanting someone elses property. It intends to process that oil in Haifa and sell it on the World market making money (typical) on SOMEONE ELSES PROPERTY.
Sorry Writer! Israel is NOT the nice little peace loving innocent kingdom. It is a predatory expansionist imperialist Nazi like criminal regime. It comes complete with storm troopers and its own Swastika (the Star of David). It knows how to terrorize and threaten its neighbors but it wants to be seen as peace loving and innocent. It behaves more like a spoiled little brat whose big brother is the neighborhood bully who will protect it no matter how attrocious its behavior….well its days are numbered more surely than anything. With the Amerian economy in free fall and with two unwinnable wars on its plate America in the near future will not be able to just sacrifice everything for this worthless ally. That will leave Israel to stand alone against an enraged World and unless it plans to live in a radioactively poisoned area it will be doomed in spite of its nukes.
Some advice to the Israelis…”learn Chinese”
