So you see folks…sometime necessity gets in the way of nonsensical laws. Israel needs oil like every other country so it should be open and honest about it. Attacking Switzerland for buying gas from Iran was the absolute height of hypocricy. If the US and Israel cannot live with the rules they advocate for others they should keep their damn mouths shut. The Swiss government should tell the Bush administration and Israel “UP YOURS” or better yet “KISS OUR A***”

I cannot stand the Bush Administration even though I voted for Bush in 2000. What a mistake. This is the most corrupt and dishonest and at the same time most incompetent administration in American history. Everything it does is done either wrong or for the wrong reason. This administration seems to think it has a right to tell other sovereign countries how to run their own affairs. Even after they have made such a disastrous mess of this country. We are bogged down in two wars and the economy is going into the tank….we just have to get rid of these idiots. I therefore want to see the Republican party stomped out of existence in November..I’m a former Republican too.

I saw the article that you’re talking about, and I thought about you. I knew that you would get a little mad over seeing that article.

Bush has just recently announced he is ready to send weapons to Kosovo to arm the Albanians. Arming former terrorists to finish the job on the few remaining Serbs in the north will lead to the Serbs arming the north.

NATO used excessive force to quell a recent protest, what do you think Albanians with U.S. weapons would do in that situation? The U.S. has lost touch with reality and are making some stupid foreign policy mistakes that will lead to world war 3.

Serbia and Russia’s patience has to be wearing thin with moves by the U.S. like this. I can bet plans on smuggling weapons into northern Kosovo are in the works as well as deployment of Russian ground troops to the region. This will get ugly soon.

This is just yet another example of U.S. arrogance around the world, arming former terrorists.

I scare you??? You should be frightened to death with that brainless half wit running this country. You mentioned the overthrow of the Shah…Do you know any history of Iran? Did you know that in 1953 the CIA engineered the overthrow of the truly “democratically elected government of Iran…Dr. Mossedeigh…who was the elected leader” and placed the brutal Shah on the throne of Iran. He was a ruthless tyrant and it took until 1979 for the Iranians to get rid of him. He brutalized Iran and handed its oil interests over to the West..mainly British Petroleum..the reason for the overthrow. If the Iranians consider the US the “great Satan” perhaps it’s because they have plenty of reason. Do some research on the history of the Middle East…there you will find out that much of the trouble we are having now is due to our own behavior. It’s called “blowback”.
The Iranians are not insane anyway…they are a extremely intelligent people…they’re the seat of the Great Persian Empire..Iran is not a nuclear threat to anyone…I’ll tell you what the real threat from Iran is..It is their new Bourse (oil trading commodities market)..where they do NOT TAKE DOLLARS..it’s based on the EURO. Now you might realize that is partly why the dollar is tanking..That is Iran’s real threat. It is an enormous threat to our currency. As for Iranian nukes, that’s nonsense. As soon as Saddam Hussein switched from DOLLARS to EUROs the US invaded.
I suggest you google in “Iran Bourse” and do some research on this.

Understand how the UN works, The UN does not have an army, they do not have land and citizens to collect taxes from to enforce rules, etc… they rely on member states to provide this all for them.

Simply blaming the UN is ignorant when in all reality you have to blame the international community, all of those nations that have signed up to the UN Charter. That includes the United States!

The United States deserves as much blame about the failures of the UN as with other nations.

And Bush should be critisized for being selective with the UN. One day he will support the UN and the next ignore them with Iraq and Kosovo. You cannot be selective, either you follow the rules or you don’t.

It is unreasonable to ask the other countries not to do business with Iran if we’re not serious about stopping them from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The “United Nations” is a joke~ it’s completely politicized. China has more than $150,000,000,000 in energy deals with Iran. They’re never going to authorize military action which would jeapordize those contracts.

Same with others; is there any doubt that Switzerland will now oppose sanctions against Iran? If we do nothing, then we should not be surprised if, say for example, India decides to build the pipeline with Iran.

If our troops in Iraq attack Iran, the worry about the Iranians overtaking Iraq won’t be a concern anymore. The Iraqi’s will then be free to rebuild their country without the threat of Iranian interference.
