Russia has suspended military co-operation with NATO and recalled its ambassador to the organisation to discuss what Moscow sees as a biased response to the South Ossetian conflict. A Russian draft resolution aimed at settling the conflict has been submitted to the UN Security Council after France's proposal met with a deadlock. NATO expansion a 'direct threat to Russia' - Putin

NATO allies warned Russia on Tuesday that the alliance's cooperation with Moscow would depend on the pullout of troops from Georgia.
