I got an interesting e-mail from one of my readers. EG from Britain didn’t particularly like my article, “The Coming Nuclear war in 2012“. He really let me have it:
I’ve read your blog with interest for over a year - the articles, although spattered with alarmist, narrow sources (such as familysecuritymatters), are usually balanced.
But when I read your “article” about the “coming 2012 nuclear war”, that did it for me: you’re an alarmist yourself. There may be several reasons for this: you’re looking forward to it (unlikely), you’re deluded (possible, which means you really fo have a nerve accusing Bill Gates of being deluded), or you lack the intelligence to view the world through anything but a narrow, military persective.
I know your whole premise is this idea that there are parallel’s with 1913, but people draw parallel’s with the bible’s history too, when taken at face value. The time we live in is more different, dynamic and rapidly changing than any other time in history. We are undergoing a science and energy revolution as you would see if you read the many blogs that exist other than your own. Moreover, the coming generation, unlike the guys who grew up during the cold war, are more interesting in either profit or charity, or both. It is unsuprising that you chose to insult Bill Gates, since he is the polar opposite of you. He’s also far more intelligent (you used the word “probably” instead of “probability” - where did that come from? Makes it even harder to take your nuclear doom seriously).
You’re simply wrong, you’ve been reading so much alarmist propaganda that you think Europe is an “enemy” of america. Quote alarmist stuff all you like, I live in Europe and you are wrong. Everyone I know, regardless of their personal vote in america viewpoint polls, would fight to the death to defend our atlantic allies. Who’s deluded now? China can’t hope to  fight a US-Britain-Japan-Canada-France Germany-India-Australia-etc etc alliance, not for a very long time, and neither do they want to sink their own economy by ruining the wests, with whom they have enormous trade.
I’m not going to read your blog anymore until you stop writing about how “the sky is falling, the sky is falling, the sky is falling!!” And above all you should know better than to make predictions about the future, which is a hazardous business for professionals, never mind an amateur blogger who has a death wish. Considering the fanatical nature of your claims, you require much stronger evidence than you think you have. “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence”. Remember this e-mail in 2040 when you’re an old man with a pipe and slippers wondering why China and Russia didn’t melt the west and the whole world economy with it.
I’m an alarmist. I’m not that smart. I’m wrong on Europe. Perhaps I’m deluded. The bottom line is that the sky is not going to fall. Russia and China are not going to attack America. That’s EG’s response to me.
I can easily see how a lot of people think that 1913 Intel is alarmist. So that’s not a surprise. I’ve also been called “Chicken Little” too. Making a claim that nuclear war is coming is not easy. That is why I have invited my readers to follow along with my news articles each day. I’m showing everyone each day how right or wrong I am. When it becomes clear that I am wrong about nuclear war then I’ll shut down the blog.
Let me be clear that I would rather be wrong about nuclear war than right. I would be happy to shut down this blog because I was wrong. I do not want nuclear war.
“Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence”, EG insists. Notice that my argument is based on Israel using nuclear weapons against its neighbors. That is your evidence. When that event happens then that is your sign that I’m not as clueless as EG thinks. Up until this happens then one doesn’t need to change their lives. You don’t really need to do anything, except pay attention to the news. When Israel destroys its neighbors then its time to take action. Personally, I will be starting to implement some of my plans after Israel’s next war. That war won’t be nuclear, but it will give me a couple of extra years to work through the issues. Â
EG claims that China can’t fight the US-Britain-Japan-Canada-France Germany-India-Australia-etc etc alliance. And why would they want to doom their economy anyway? Firstly, the alliance you refer to is the U.S., Britain and Japan alliance. France won’t do anything because it is generally anti-American, although it’s current government is more pro-American than in the past. The other countries cannot be counted on to do much of anything in the face of Russian and Chinese nuclear weapons. I don’t blame them, but what can they do? If Russia and China attack America, then Britain and Japan will be getting attacked at the same time. I suspect that Taiwan might get attacked too.
What about China’s economy? This is a weak argument. Before World war I it was in everyone’s best interest to NOT go to war, yet they did it anyway.
What about Bates Gill in Rising Star who claims that war with America does not have to happen? Bates Gill is the director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.
Bates Gill offers in Rising Star a refreshing and certainly less alarming assessment of the spectacular “rise†of China than the one painted by the security intelligentsia in recent years. In other words, his position on the “rise†of China is that it is, or can be, more peaceful.…While Rising Star convincingly argues that China has made tremendous progress on the international front, all those developments could quickly be undermined should its domestic situation - perennially the main concern of decision-makers in Beijing, around which everything else, including foreign policy, revolves - deteriorate. Only then, perhaps, would the world see China’s other, dreaded “rise.”

China’s government is just so wonderful. Let’s see, Mao had killed around 60 Million Chinese in order to gain power. China helped Pakistan with missile and nuclear development to enable Pakistan to kill millions of Indians should the two countries ever go to war. Pakistan then proceeded to pass nuclear technology on to North Korea and Iran. China keeps the North Koran dictator in power. China has over a thousand missiles facing Taiwan, and it threatens Taiwan on a regular basis. China is crushing Tibet. China claims large areas of Indian land, and it is positioning themselves with new road systems and huge area mock-ups for battle training. Â
Two Chinese generals threatened to nuke America over Taiwan. One general got a promotion a few years after their remark. The other general understood that we would destroy all of their major cities East of Xi’An.
How can anyone ignore this evidence?
Bates Gill does acknowledge that things could be different should their domestic situation deteriorate. Is he kidding us? If it deteriorates? It’s not if, but when it deteriorates. The signs are all around if one just cares to pay attention. Should one be concerned about the thousands of protests each year in China? What about the endemic corruption that permeates all levels of government? What about the horrendous pollution? What about the crackdown in Tibet?
The communist Chinese government is doomed.
I have one question about Russia, why has Russia devoted tremendous resources to building underground bunkers for the last 50 years? I’m talking about massive bunkers, some the size of cities. For example, one such bunker is the size of Washington D.C.
What about my 2012 prediction? That’s my best guess, but it really depends on the Israel going nuclear scenario. Retaliation on America, Britain and Japan will occur a few years after that. If peace breaks out in the Middle East, and all the conflict stops then there will be NO nuclear war on America. I would be completely wrong in my prediction, and I would shut down this blog at that time.
I did mention that the range is 2010 to 2018 for nuclear war. This acknowledges that while I might be right about nuclear war, I could be wrong about the year. So don’t look for a year, but rather look for events.
