History Book Scandal - China
April 2005
Claims the Japanese are re-writing history have re-opened old wounds for the Chinese. But at the heart of the dispute is the struggle for dominance of the region.
It's impossible to justify Japan's reluctance to face it's second world war history," states Asian expert Juergen Kremb. Even today, many Japanese politicians dismiss events like the 1937 Nanking massacre as minor incidents. "The Japanese see themselves as the victims of the war and not the aggressor," states university professor Peter Pantzer. News that Japanese schoolbooks left out war crimes in China provoked a wave of anti-Japanese protests. But the real issue at stake is not only Japan's reluctance to confront its past. It's dominance of Asia. As Juergen Kremb explains: "You can't forget that China wants to be...

Tibet: The Truth (A Political History)
The West is trying to demonize China. Why? To ensure an upper-handed position economically, politically, and socially.
I HAVE MADE THIS AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD:

Too many harbor strong opinions about Tibet, yet know nothing more than the few slogans offered by the mass-media outlets.
The media screams:
"They killed innocent monks!" - but those "innocent" monks and other young hooligans killed innocent Chinese before a single shot was fired on them.
"The Chinese are oppressive" - do you consider freeing over 95% of Tibetans from slavery, building a state of the art infrastructure, and a new economy oppressive?
"The Chinese suppress Tibetan Buddhism" - then why have the Chinese spent a fortune restoring ancient...

Chinese Civilization for Five Thousand Years3-5Qin & Han
Emperor Jing of Han 汉景帝(188 BC--141 BC) was an emperor of China in the Han Dynasty from 156 BC to 141 BC. His reign saw the limit and curtailment of power of feudal princes which resulted in the Rebellion of the Seven States in 154 BC. Emperor Jing managed to crush the revolt and princes were thereafter denied rights to appoint ministers for their fief. This move consolidated central power which paved the way for the glorious and long reign of his son Emperor Wu of Han.
Impact on Chinese history
As fore mentioned, Emperor Jing was a complicated character. His reign, along with that of his father Emperor Wen, known as the Rule of Wen and Jing, was considered to be one of the golden ages in Chinese history. However, it is also apparent from his actions that he lacked the warmth and...

The First Emperor: The Man Who Made China (Part 9)
Emperor Chin or Shi Huangdi [246-210 BC], is known as the Tiger of Qin, and the unifier of all China who ruled between 221 and 210 BC. Emperor Qin built much of the Great Wall of China, but is best known in archaeological circles for his legendary tomb. In 1974, workmen discovered the tomb of Shi Huangdi near the city of Xi'an in the modern Shensi province. Among the treasures found there is a marvelous army of terracotta soldiers and horses, consisting of nearly 8,000 life sized individual statues that were sculpted from clay and fired.
