Africa and Asia: Creating a New Axis of Partnership
With the rising economic importance of Asia, Africans are delicately forging ties with both East and West.
1) What roles will Asia, in particular China and India, play in fuelling Africa's economic growth?
2) In what ways will Africa's growing ties with Asia be similar to and different from those with its traditional partners?
3) With the boom in trade and investment, have "South-South" opportunities replaced the traditional "North-South" relationship?
4) What should Africans do to optimize the benefits and manage the challenges of these new cultural and economic ties?

Our Kids Future heading for China/India
The opiate of big business: Cheap Labor
This interview proved the education myth was just a Red Herring. How did Americans, initially anyway, become preeminent in software development? Sona Shah is the greatest speaker this movement ever had and spoke with a depth that no one theretofore seemed willing to do!
Thoroughly trouncing the "poor American education system" was the cause myth.
Proving, as always, it's the money and the ability to take advantage of these workers that makes them more attractive that Americans.
Who would have believed a Democrat President, a Clinton 'democrat' of course, would take the lead in the destruction of the math and computer science fields in America? President Clinton signed that first bill, all but eliminating the cap on the number of "temporary H1B...

The Rise of China, India & Russia: The Next American Century
http://www.nextamericancentury.com/
The rise of other global powers is most often posed as a sorry tale. The potential loss of our #1 status implies a blow to our safety, economy, and prestige. In The Next American Century, Nina Hachigian and Mona Sutphen show that the "pivotal powers"—China, Europe, India, Japan, and Russia—seek greater influence, but each has an enormous stake in the world economy and a keen desire to thwart common threats.
