Sonderveranstaltung der Abteilung Education zur Uraufführung der amerikanischen Oper "Raoul" von Gershon Kingsley und Michael Kunze.
5 Bremer Schulklassen der Jahrgangsstufen 8 bis 11 waren bei der Generalprobe zur Neuproduktion „Raoul" dabei und diskutierten anschließend mit Zeitzeugen und den Machern der Produktion über Zivilcourage. Im Vorfeld hatten sie sich mit der Biografie Raoul Wallenbergs in einer Fotoaktion auseinander gesetzt, in der sie sich mit einer ihm nachempfundenen weißen Gipsfigur an verschiedenen Orten in Bremen fotografierten.

Dorel Livianu was born in Bucharest, Romania, on October 10, 1907. He showed his high quality voice at a young age when he performed at age 7 in Verdi's opera AIDA, as the little trumpet boy.
As a teenager he studied voice with the great Massini at the Bucharest Music Conservatory. As a rising star he was signed on by Columbia Records and His Master's Voice.

Raoul Wallenberg (August 4, 1912 -- July 16, 1947?)was a Swedish humanitarian sent to Budapest, Hungary under diplomatic cover to rescue Jews from the Holocaust. He was of the prominent Swedish Wallenberg family.
Inspired by the the tale of the Scarlet Pimpernel, he worked to save the lives of Hungarian Jews in the later stages of World War II by issuing them protective passports from the Swedish embassy. These documents identified the bearers as Swedish nationals awaiting repatriation. It is impossible to determine exactly how many Jews were rescued by his actions, but Yad Vashem credits him with saving 15,000 lives.
On January 17, 1945, he was arrested on the direct order of Soviet Deputy Commissar for Defense Nikolai Bulganin. It is probable that the order came from Stalin, for...

Josipa Lisac:cameo in the movie "Wallenberg: A hero's story"
This is a rare clip of a 1985 motion picture "Wallenberg: A hero's story" where the Croatian diva singer Josipa Lisac had a cameo appearance.
The movie is about Raoul Wallenberg (played by Richard Chamberlain); a Swedish diplomat who saved many lives in Hungary during the Holocaust in 1944.
Josipa plays a singer in a Budapest club and sings "Stormy weather" with a Hungarian accent, since the movie producers thought her English is too perfect and the character she plays is Hungarian.
Also appearing in this clip is the great British actor, Kenneth Colley, who plays Adolf Eichmann, the notorious Nazi war criminal, responsible for the transportation of the Jews to the concentration camps.
