"Protests led by Buddhist monks enter their third day, in the biggest show of defiance in Tibet for more than 20 years.
Cars and shops have been set ablaze in the Tibetan capital Lhasa amid demands for independence from China.
Reports say Chinese police have fired on protestors, leaving at least two people dead.
One witness said around 400 demonstrators had been confronted by a thousand riot police as they threw rocks and set fire to cars and buses.
The Dalai Lama has denied Chinese allegations that he had masterminded the unrest."

Olympic torch relay meets with protest in London - 06 Apr 08
The Olympic torch relay that's supposed to symbolise peace and world unity is instead turning into a parade of protest across London.

Tibetan monks lead protests against China
Beijing has set a deadline of Monday for demonstrators in Tibet to surrender. Chinese officials say the violence in the last few days has left ten people dead. But exiled Tibetan leaders put the death toll at a hundred and claim many more protestors have been injured.

Pro-China Protest at Parliament Hill in Ottawa (CTV)

More than 6,000 pro-China demonstrators took to Parliament Hill Sunday afternoon to show support for the Chinese government.
The demonstrators sang patriotic songs and waved flags to show support for a united China.
This is in the wake of the Chinese government's crack down on Tibetan protests and the ensuing calls for a boycott of the Beijing Olympics this summer.
Protesters said they want the world to take the politics out of the Olympics and accuse the media of supporting Tibetans while completely distorting the real situation in China.
Many say it was in fact Tibetans who initiated the violence with political protests, carefully plotted.

"Anti-government violence by Tibetan separatists spreads to another Chinese province.
One frightened witness said a crowd of Tibetan exiles had gone "crazy", hurling petrol bombs, and setting fire to a market, a police station and several police cars. The security forces responded with tear gas.
The Dalai Lama warned that the Tibet nation faced "serious danger" comparable with the 1959 uprising when he was forced into exile.
Tibetan separatists claimed the security forces killed 80 people; Beijing put the number at 10."

Dalai Lama attacks China over Tibet -16 March 08
The Dalai Lama is condemning what he calls China's rule of terror. Chinese police are reported to be going from door to door in the capital Llhasa, hunting Tibetans involved in the most serious uprising against Chinese rule for nearly 20 years. Tibet's self declared government in exile says 80 people have been killed.
