Russian air defence will protect Iran
Iran says Moscow could soon start supplying it with the Russian S300 missile air defence system. The announcement was made by Iran's Defence Minister, Mostafa Mohammad Najjar, who was speaking to the Fars news agency.

Iranian Missiles Capable of Hitting Israel and US Bases
Nine long and medium-range missiles have been tested by Iran, including one which it has previously said could travel as far as Israel and U.S. bases in the region.
The tests occurred at a time of increased tension between Iran and Israel over Tehran's disputed nuclear programme, which the West fears is aimed at making bombs. Iran says its nuclear programme is only for power generation.
State Press TV said the missiles tested by Iran's Revolutionary Guards included the 'Shahab 3' missile, which officials have said could reach targets 2,000 km (1,250 miles) away.
In response, a U.S. White House spokesman said Iran should "refrain from further missile tests if they truly seek to gain the trust of the world".

Bomb Iran But Do Not Obliterate Them. Destroy Missiles
If Israel bombs Iran's nuclear facilities and Iran in return blocks the Strait of Hormuz, the United States and it's allies will have no other choice but to obliterate Iran's "high tech military" (planes, ships, missiles, rubber boats, sling shots, etc), putting Iran in it's place, and leaving them as a diminished threat to their neighbors.

Middle East Update - Iran Test Fires Missiles (rockets)
(RTTNews, July 8, 2008) - Iran has threatened to attack Israel and the U.S. navy in the Gulf as its first response to any attack on its nuclear sites, media reports quoting a senior aide to supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Tuesday.
"The first U.S. shot on Iran would set the United States' vital interests in the world on fire," said Ali Shirazi, who is Khamenei's representative to the naval forces of the elite Revolutionary Guards. He said that Tel Aviv and the U.S. fleet in the Persian Gulf would be the targets that would be set on fire in Iran's crushing response.
