Suspicions mar US-China military relations - 20 Oct 08
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have been spoken about it in great detail during the election campaign so far. But it seems military threats from other sources are still of great concern to US voters.
A recent survey conducted by the Financial Times found that China was the country that most Americans perceived as a potential military threat.
In the first of a special series on ties between the United States and China, Tony Cheng traveled to Hawaii to look at the relations between these two military giants.

The Centre-2008 military exercises took place near the city of Orenburg on the Volga river. More then 12,000 troops participated along with about 1,000 combat ground vehicles, jet aircraft, helicopters and rocket artillery. The war games reached its peak on September 26 with the arrival of Commander-in-Chef, President Dmitry Medvedev.
These military exercises are to counter balance NATO. I do believe it is a good response to the US and the EU expansionism of NATO towards the East, mainly when they are done within The Shangai Cooperacion Organisation which includes China.
This military alliance is the 'new' military power that overpower NATO and the US together.
The US has put very clear that it will not tolerate Russia's veto to accept new members in NATO. Therefore, the US and EU idea...

U.S. Military Hunting People in New Orleans (CNN) Lou Dobbs: "It is stated in this video that the U.S. Military was hunting people in New Orleans with Night vision and M4s." In the video the guy Dobbs is talking to actually says that the troops are handling the situation in New Orleans just like they did in Afghanistan.
This is a violation of the Posse Comatatus Act, which prohibits the US military from civilian policing activities.
