THE HAUNTED NUCLEAR BUNKER INVESTIGATION
Recently I visited the former government nuclear bunker near Brentwood, Essex, England.
This mammoth construction was built to house senior officials in the event of a nuclear strike.
The bunker is being used as a haunted ghost night venue and out of curiosity I decided to visit the location and judge for myself.
The views expressed are entirely my opinions only, and should be treated as such.
My apologies for having a slightly `raspy` voice on the narration. I had a sore throat but am much better now (in case you asked:).
I would wholeheartedly recommend that if you ever get the chance you must visit this fantastic museum to the Cold War.
The site has excellent parking facilities and is well signposted on the walkthrough with much to see.

Disinformation - Nuclear Bunker TV clip
This sequence relates to the sound installation and concert event held in September 1998 in the decommissioned RAF ROTOR radar bunker and Regional Seat of Government, under a field at Troywood, near Anstruther, Fife, Scotland. The bunker was built over 24,000 square feet, 100 feet underground, inside a subterranean tungsten Faraday cage designed to protect RAF communications equipment from the disruptive effects of the Electromagnetic Pulse (or EMP) radiated by an atom bomb.
Disinformation performed a DJ set, and exhibited the "National Grid" electromagnetic sub-bass sound installation, in the National Grid access chute in the bunker's main entry corridor. The "Theophany" (Voice of God) sound installation was also exhibited in the (intensely surreal surroundings of the) bunker's...

This is where devolved central Government and military commanders would have run the east region of the U.K. if nuclear war had broken out.
Built in great secrecy and under strict military security, and designed to support 600 people for 3 months. The walls are 10ft thick and over 40000 tons of cement were used to build them.
The deepest point is about 120 ft.
This is me and my nephew having a trip round the bunker.

People and Politics | Honecker's Nuclear Bunker - Last refuge for the GDR leadership
17/5001 is the official name of a bunker completed after five years of construction in 1983 outside East Berlin. In the event of nuclear war it was to provide shelter for the East German cabinet. The multistory facility is now open to the public, albeit for only a few weeks due to the expensive maintenance costs involved. It will be closed for good in October.
