Sayed Mustafa Qazwini - Moderate Islam
A series of motivational lectures during the holy ten nights of Muharram presented by Sayed Mustafa Qazwini. These were presented during the nights in which we mourn for Aba Abdillah Al-Hussain (AS), the grandson of the Prophet (PBUH&HF), who was brutally mudered along with his family by the opressive tyrant Yazid. This is the 2nd night of Muharram.

Don't judge Islam from the small number of moderate Muslims you may have encountered quietly going about their business in the West. Judge Islam from the Muslims in Muslim countries, where the culture of indoctrination and hatred of the West is woven into the fabric of society.
Islam is not a religion of peace. These are not 'radical' views - these are the views of entire Middle Eastern countries, and these clips and more like them are shown every day on TV in those countries. If kids who are only just able to walk can call Jews 'apes and pigs', or young girls want to tell Bush...

So where is moderate Islam?
If there is "moderate Islam", where are its voices?
None of this video is very original, I'm afraid; I'm merely echoing some sentiments aired - and to be honest, much more eloquently too - by others here.
I'm jumping on the bandwagon here, to add my voice to the chorus, so to speak.
I tried my best to be as calm and measured as possible whilst making this video, in the hope that by doing that I'll provoke something other than a knee-jerk reaction.
I'm not interested in people posting third party evidence and arguments that moderate Islam exists. Prove it by posting an unequivocal condemnation of violence and hate speech perpetrated in the name of your religion.
I also see little point in people posting such videos or comments if they are apostates or secularised non-practicing...

This documentary aired on the Dutch TV channel "VPRO" in 2005. It shows a Dutch journalist looking for moderate Islam in the Netherlands. He visits two Muslim communities.
On the one hand, there's the Surinamese Muslims in Amsterdam who present themselves as mainstream, moderate Muslims, but who follow Pakistani mullahs. On the other hand,
there's the Ahmadiyya Muslims in The Hague, who although liberal and progressive to Western eyes, are to this day still considered to be non-muslims, i.e. apostates.

FFI identifies itself as "a grassroots worldwide movement of ex-Muslims and all those who are concerned about the rise of the Islamic threat". According to the website, FFI was founded by an Iranian ex-Muslim residing in Canada, going by the pseudonym of "Ali Sina."

Syrian expert "There is no moderate Islam"
The only Muslims which ought to be tolerated in the West are secular Muslims. In Austria for instance those are only 16% according to recent, detailed academic studies. In other Western nations it is even much lower.

Is there ‘moderate’ apartheid, or ‘moderate’ nazism ? Can a thoroughly discriminatory, hateful and genocidal cult, religion or ideology have ‘moderate’ members? Have we misunderstood nazism, was it in effect a different culture enriching the cultural diversity, misunderstood and “hijacked by some extremists” ? Were there ‘moderate nazi’s’ that held ‘moderately’ anti-semitic views? What would constitute a ‘moderate’ muslim? Someone who thinks only some rape victims should be stonded, and only some gays strung up ? I fail to understand what people mean when they speek of “moderate islam”.
