U.S. intel: Chinese hackers planted ‘trap doors’ in government computers

U.S. intelligence officials disclosed that one objective of the Chinese hacking is to plant “trap doors” into government computer systems that would permit shutting down or disrupting the systems in war time.

Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman did release a statement that the classified systems were not in any danger. It is suspected that the Chinese People's Liberation Army is responsible for the intrusion, especially since Germany has also made accusations against the Chinese army for a computer hacking incident.
