U.S. urges more talks on missile defence
Washington says it wants to continue dialogue with Moscow on plans to install a missile defence shield in Europe. Its believed the renewed emphasis on talks could be connected to President Medvedevs announcement that Russia may put missiles in Kaliningrad - its westernmost region, bordering Poland.

Russia will be forced to appropriately respond if the U.S. aggravates Eastern Europe by deploying its controversial missile defence system, President Dmitry Medvedev has told Russian diplomats. Medvedev has called for a truly open security system in the Euro-Atlantic zone.
"The deployment of elements of the U.S. global missile defence system in Eastern Europe is only aggravating the situation. We will have to respond appropriately and our American and European partners have already been warned," Medvedev said.

Syria says it's ready to put a Russian missile system on its soil as a counterweight to U.S. plans to deploy a missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic. The offer was made during a meeting between Syrian leader Bashar Asad and President Dmitry Medvedev in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
Meanwhile, Moscow is considering a request from Syria for more Russian-made weapons.
It was the first meeting between the two leaders, and President Al-Asad was keen to show Syria's support for Russia.
"We understand what is behind Russia's position ... We believe this is a response to Georgian provocation. We support Moscow in this and are against any attempts to blacken Russia," Al-Assad said.

After the U.S. and the Polish Government agreed to put 10 U.S. funded missile defense intercepters on Polish soil, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice denied that it had anything to do with Russia, saying instead that they were being put there to defend Poland against North Korea or Iran. The only problem with that, um, LIE, is that neither North Korea nor Iran have any missiles that can reach Poland, and even if they built some, Iran and North Korea don't have any political disagreements with Poland. So she's either lying here, or she's so incredibly mis-informed about international politics that she should resign from her post immediately.

Isn’t this just what America needs right now, Military threats coming from Russia. The “mentally challenged” Bush Administration now bogged down in Afghanistan, being told to leave by the Iraqi government,and looking for a war with Iran has apparently decided to provoke a problem with Russia over unnecessary missiles and sticking our noses into its problems with Georgia.
The wisdom of our “Founding Fathers” to avoid foreign entanglements and to treat all countries fairly is certainly missing in modern America.
The big, really big, question is can America possibly make it until we can remove these amateurs from office next January.
If there are any adults left in Washington would you please take the keys away from the idiot in the White House before he drives the country over the cliff.
Also, would someone please tell the two half wits, George and Dick, that in spite of what they think they do not rule the World. They are becoming increasinly irrelevant.
