Eto'o: Give racism the red card!
Samuel Eto'o speaks of his personal experience of racist abuse in the premiership playing the game he loves. As a result of speaking publicly he has received criticism from both the media and a number of his peers. Should fans or players be punished for racist comments or is it taking censorship too far? Is criticising a players ability less offensive than criticising his nationality, religion or ethnicity? Were his team mates wrong to convince him to stay on the pitch following the offensive actions of the Real Zaragoza crowd or should he just concentrate on football and ignore the comments?
