O'Reilly ends his France boycott in wake of Sarkozy victory
On the May 7 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, host Bill O'Reilly declared that "The Factor is lifting the boycott of France" due to the recent election of conservative candidate Nicolas Sarkozy as France's next president. O'Reilly called for the boycott in March 2003 because of France's opposition to the Iraq war.

NATO says it won't offer membership to the countries of Georgia and Ukraine. The news comes one day after President Bush called for the two former Soviet states to join at the NATO summit in Romania. But the move was opposed by Germany and France, amid concerns from Russia over the alliance's eastward expansion.
Meanwhile, NATO leaders are set to endorse a planned U.S. missile defense shield for Europe. Pashtoon Taliban Terrorists Killed 10 French ISAF Soldiers
KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Ten French soldiers were killed Tuesday in fighting near the Afghan capital of Kabul after 100 insurgents attacked a patrol, authorities said.
French and NATO authorities confirmed the deaths and said 21 other soldiers were wounded in the fighting in the Sarobi area in Kabul province, about 30 miles northeast of the capital.
The clashes began late Monday afternoon and continued into Tuesday, when the casualties occurred, French officials said.
French President Nicolas Sarkozy said his "determination is intact" to continue "this battle against terrorism for democracy and liberty."
"The cause is just. It is an honor for France and its armies to defend them," said Sarkozy, who will travel Tuesday night to Afghanistan, the Defense Ministry said.

The ex KGB leaders in Moscow sent the Russian military south in an attempt to either control or destroy a petroleum pipeline built or being built going through Georgia from the Middle East to Eastern Europe. Prior to this pipeline, Eastern Europe was getting its petroleum from Russia or from pipelines coming out of Russia. Ex-KGB agent Prime Minister Vladimir Putin wants the Georgian pipeline either destroyed or under Russian control, thereby controlling all the oil going into Eastern Europe.
