S-300 air defense missiles (NATO- SA-10 Grumble)
The S-300PMU [SA-10 land-based, SA-N-6 naval version] surface-to-air missile system is able to engage a number of targets simultaneously, countering intensive aircraft raids at low-to-high altitude. The SA-10 offers significant advantages over older strategic surface-to-air missile systems, including multitarget handling and engagement characteristics, a capability against low altitude targets with small radar cross-sections such as cruise missiles, a capability against tactical ballistic missiles, and possibly a potential to intercept some types of strategic ballistic missiles.

Russian air defence will protect Iran
Iran says Moscow could soon start supplying it with the Russian S300 missile air defence system. The announcement was made by Iran's Defence Minister, Mostafa Mohammad Najjar, who was speaking to the Fars news agency.

S-75 Air Defence Missile System
Since 1957, the various modifications of S-75 air-defence missile system were delivered more than in 40 countries of the world. The system well has recommended itself in real battle conditions, especially during the American aggression in Vietnam. In July, 1965 three rockets had been brought down three aircrafts "Phantom". In Vietnam the systems have brought down all about 2000 aircrafts , including more than 60 planes B-52.

S-125 Air Defence Missile System
The S-125 "Pechora" air-defence missile system was developed as a system for struggle against the low-level piloted and unmanned aerodynamic purposes in a range of heights H=20...18000 meters, on combat range D=3,5... of 25,0 km. The S-125 have well proved in Syria where during the conflict of 1973 complexes have brought down 43 planes. In Yugoslavia the system "Pechora" has brought down the aircraft F-117A.

3rd May Rehearsal for the Victory Day parade 2008
On May 3, rehearsal of the upcoming Victory Day parade involving sophisticated T-90 tanks, heavy-duty Topol-M ICBMs, and other military vehicles was held on Moscow's Red Square and Tverskaya street.
Victory Day marks the final surrender by Nazi Germany to the U.S.S.R. in WWII, often referred to as the Great Patriotic War in Russia and other states in the former Soviet Union.
During the rehearsal for the parade, a crowd of spectators cheered the appearance of formidable T-90 main battle tanks, Smerch multiple-launch rocket systems, S-300 air defense systems, Iskander-M tactical missile systems and Topol-M ballistic missile systems.

S-200 Air Defence Missile System
The S-200 is air-defence missile system of long range. The modification "Dubna" is capable to amaze the purposes on a combat range up to 300 km. The first battle application of S-200 has occured in 1982 in Syria where on a distance of 190 km have been brought down the plane DRLO E-2S "Hokay" then the American carrier-based fleet has departed from coast of Lebanon.
