Mumia Abu-Jamal -- What Globalization Really Means!
During the hard-fought Haitian Revolution, which occurred roughly a decade after the U.S. Revolution, the government of George Washington, which talked about 'liberty to all men', entered the conflict, but not on the side of liberty. The Washington Administration authorized the grant of $400,000 — a vast sum in the 1800s — not to support the forces of freedom, but to the white planters. They sent money to the French for arms and food to support their resistance to the uprising. America's secretary of state, Thomas Jefferson, writer of the Constitution, did the actual paperwork. When it came to slavery or freedom, the Americans, slaveowners themselves, chose slavery to support.

Conflict - Carlo Giuliani
Carlo Giuliani, a 23-year-old Italian activist, poet and anarchist, was killed during the demonstrations against the Group of Eight summit that was held in Genoa from July 19 to July 21, 2001.
He was killed on July 20, during a clash between demonstrators and Italian Carabinieri (military police). The police were in a jeep and were engaged in a conflict with protesters; police were lobbing tear gas while demonstrators were throwing stones. Carlo Giuliani was holding a fire extinguisher and some photos[1] suggest that he intended to throw it at the police jeep.Carlo was told(at gunpoint) to put the extinguisher down, which he began to do and was shot in the face, and the rear wheel of the police jeep then ran over his body twice.
All charges against the police officer who allegedly shot...

Jump on the globalization bandwagon today!
The argument for a free representative world parliament.
War is a conscious effort, it is not human nature to go to war. It takes a human being to decide that they want a war, and for them to convince everyone else in their abitrary group that they have to go to war. Group A's excuses for going to war range from saying that group B is responsible for all the evils within group A's society (usually because it is against the interests of group A's leaders to seek a proper solution to those problems) and/or that Group B poses a future threat to Group A's society. The fall-back excuse for war is that if we don't do it to them they'll do it to us.
Of course in the minds of petty people this means that there's no end to war unless Group A obliterates or subjugates every other group on the...

Thomas P.M. Barnett (Part 1 of 3)
The world is divided into the gap and the core. The core is the developed world. The gap is the underdeveloped world plagued with conflict. Iraq is in the gap, and one of many. As members of the developed world, we have the ability to close the gap, and to prevent the conflicts from arriving at our own shores in the form of a terrorist attack. So despite the naysayers, this is why we're at war and why we'll keep going to war.
Thomas P.M. Barnett is a military and geopolitical grand strategist. He has two books, The Pentagon's New Map, and a followup called Blueprint for Action. His third book, Great Powers, is available for pre-order from his website

Trevor Moeke Complete Interview Part 1
Elder, community leader and activist Trevor Moeke describes his work and perspective on oneness, drawing from Maori culture, language, history and cosmology. Trevor explains how the Maori's "people-first" approach to conflict resolution, as well as their traditions of collective decision-making, self-determination, ritual and cooperation in the face of adversity, stand to make important contributions to the global political arena. Above all, Trevor insists that globalization challenges all cultures to look within and bring forward the most authentic and sincere expression of self-knowledge. One World
PLEASE READ
the video is incomplete and maybe a bit confusing.
THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT A RANT OF THE AMAZING HUMAN ADVANCEMENT THAT IS GLOBALIZATION. THE POINT IS THAT GLOBALIZATION CAN AND MUST BE A "SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE" PHENOMENON. IF WE DON'T FIGHT FOR IT TO BE SO, ITS OUR LOST ONLY.
I know Lepen lost a lot of votes this elections, and obvioulsy im not calling the french "fascists". however, there has been a huge rise in the extreme right. people must aknowledge it and understand it in order to try and fight it.
The internationalization, the development of the global capitalist dynamics as it was made had consequences in the whole World. It rose inequalities in the LDC and DCs alike.
In many LDCs it actually gave wonderful new opportunities, and frankly im not very worried about...

Oil No More: Life After Peak Oil
This is a video slide show that highlights the precarious situation we are in with regard to peak oil and the consequences our addiction to oil will bring. These include: economic collapse, continued global warming and climate change, and an approaching conflict with other nations wishing to grab up as much of the oil that's left. However there is still hope-that's IF we break away from our over use of petroleum and turn to renewable energy like solar, wind, biofuels, butanol, ethanol, hydrogen fuel cell, and/or clean coal.
**For more information about Peak Oil and some solutions to the problem, please visit my playlist, where I've tried to gather up the best videos about it on youtube. Thanks for watching.**
