I like this article. Pat Buchanan is pointing out the obvious, but America can’t seem to see clearly.

Poland wants to charge us billions for permission to site a missile defense base on Polish soil. This is to defend Poland and other European countries, mind you. Are the Polish nuts?

Polls show that Europe is no friend of America. In fact, it would fit in well with the enemies of America.

Has Uncle Sam gone senile? Why are we trying to defend a people that hate us like the Europeans do?

South Korea is another country that makes one wonder about the intelligence of America. The hatred for America in South Korea is very intense. Why are we still defending this country?

Why do we still have a policy to defend Taiwan? Heck, they’re not that interested in defending themselves. They want Uncle Sam to do all the work.

We need foreign policies that more closely reflect the realities of the world today, not what we wished them to be.

The one country on the planet that we should help defend itself is Israel. Here is a country that actually likes America. It’s trying very hard to defend itself. It has a Western, democratic government like us too.
