My website host, Dreamhost.Com, has started throttling (limiting resources) this site. Apparently, I’m using up too many resources.
I’m sorry to say that it looks like I’ll have to switch over to a subscription based model. I’ve been thinking about going to a subscription based model for some time now, because advertising doesn’t pay much. Donations pay even less than advertising. If I need to pay for a premium hosting service, then I need a model that will bring in a lot more money than I currently bring in.
Running this website each day can be difficult, but the topics really interest me. It is time consuming to run a website like this when you take into account posting, research and development.
I will be creating a new website called member.1913intel.com in the next few days. This will be a subscription based website. I will let you know more details in the next few days.
I will keep 1913 Intel alive and well. But I will only be posting to this site a few times a month in the future.

hello Im of the same opinion as 2817 inquis. I have not been able to find anything quite like this anywhere and am extremely dismayed there wont continue to be a 1913intel as I have come to know it. Please Matt post your top source websites on original 1913intel.com so that I and others who have come to appreciate your work may peruse as you do these compelling stories. PS Please consider restarting 1913Intel as it was with numerous well searched submissions daily. I’m a 1913intel junkie; but cant afford this subscription you speak of.
I ran the numbers, and it looks like making a membership site doesn’t make sense. So there will be no membership site.
Matt, I too would like to say that your site has become one of the top 3 sites I look to for information, updates and commentary on world events and figures.
You do a great job gathering important stories and I can only imagine the time it takes you to collect them from the varied sources. It must be a labor of love.

You do not have to answer this question openly, but do you have the ability (or, your hosting provider) to determine where (country) and what type of traffic (protocol) is coming through?
Not knowing more specifics (i.e., how many “members” the site has, how many view on a daily basis, the upper and lower limit thresholds, what parameter is getting throttled (disk space, processor usage, bandwidth, etc…), I can’t make a certain prognosis but if the limits are reasonable, I would start looking at unreasonable reasons as to why the site might *need* to be throttled.

I’m the volunteer President of Father’s Rights organization (www.fathersrightsne.com)and giving takes a lot out of a person; but the mystery is that we get more back.
When we know we’re doing something that is making a difference, we have to do it no matter the cost. In my case, it may be my liberty, but I think Patrick Henry said it best.
Your site really is one of the best ones I’ve seen and I really would hate to see it go. Again, I would suggest you find out “who” and/or what is pressuring the site’s resources?

Check out Matts new website. It is good although I too miss the original 1913intel, and Ive been trying to help him keep it full and current with relevant Geopolitical Analysis and hard hitting news submissions. I trust that he will find the time to continue his work with the original dedication.
