A tumultuous week on stock markets across the world has left investors shell shocked. But business leaders and politicians say Russia will be spared the worst of the credit crunch. Government assurances and a massive state rescue package are expected to protect Russian households and insulate the wider economy from the crisis.

G-20 Summit...New World Order?
Some G20 nations hope the weekend summit on financial reform will be a modern Bretton Woods, but can it make big decisions without Barack Obama? By Stephen Foley in New York
Wednesday, 12 November 2008
For the Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, it is a "new Bretton Woods", as important as the 1944 convention that established the modern financial world order. For Nicolas Sarkozy, President of France, it is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to remake the global financial architecture and usher in an era of "regulated capitalism". But beware the headlines that these leaders try to manufacture when they assemble for their credit crisis summit in Washington this weekend.
What we have is a summit without an agenda, on a crisis without an agreed cause, in a country without a functioning government. The...

Provocation Against Russia by "Dying Bush Admin" - Masterminded by Brutish Empire
source : LPAC News
"Dying Bush Administration Launches British Provocation Against Russia"
November 13, 2008 (LPAC)--With two months to go in office, the British patsies in the Bush Administration decided to take one last stab at confrontation with Russia, over the European deployment of components of its ballistic missile defense system. Suddenly, after months of dormancy, a "new offer" was made to the Russians. This new "offer" was immediately attacked by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who stated that his government would rather wait until the Obama Administration is in office, before continuing any dialogue with the U.S. He said there would then be a "more flexible approach." (The Democratic-controlled Congress has refused to fund the European BMD deployment for the past two...
