Iran seeks to hasten the arrival of the Mahdi, so who is the Mahdi?

According to the Shia and Sunni versions of the Islamic eschatology the Mahdi (“Guided One”) is the prophesied redeemer of Islam who will rule alongside Jesus for seven years before the coming of the resurrection. Muslims believe the Mahdi will rid the world of error, injustice and tyranny alongside Jesus.

To Christians who know anything about Bible prophecy, the Mahdi-Jesus pair look suspiciously like the Anti-Christ and false prophet that rule the Earth for seven years until the real Jesus returns.

If you believe the videos I’m about to show you, then you will learn that Islam does in fact take over most of the known world at some point in the future. It’s not any Islam either. It’s radical Islam.

The Mahdi that Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad talks about does in fact return.

You will be made to get a mark that says “In the Name of Allah.” The Arabic script for Bismallah, In the Name of Allah, actually looks similar to 666.

Signs of the Mahdi

According to Moojan Momen, among the most commonly reported signs that presage the advent of the Mahdi in Shia hadith are the following:

1. Before his coming will come the red death and the white death. The red death is the sword and the white death is plague.

[My Comment: Red death = Russia and China. White death = America. These are the three horns that get plucked out.]

2. Several figures will appear: the one-eyed Dajjal, the Sufyani and the Yamani.
3. The Arabs will throw off the reins and take possession of their land, throwing out the authority of the foreigners.
4. There will be a great conflict in the land of Syria until it is destroyed. In ancient times east of the euphrates river was all part of syria that would include modern day iraq.

[My Comment: As of Feb. 8, 2010 a regional war approaches in the Middle East. Syria, Lebanon and Hamas are gearing up for a major, coordinated war with Israel. Syria and Lebanon have chemical weapons and will most likely use them. The Israeli response will most likely be nuclear.]

5. Death and fear will afflict the people of Baghdad and Iraq. A fire will appear in the sky and a redness will cover them.

[My Comment: Iran gets obliterated with nuclear weapons after it attacks and destroys Europe.]

According to scholar Moojan Momen, signs that Sunni and Shi’a are agreed upon include the following:

1. The Mahdi will be a descendant of Muhammad of the line of Fatimah.
2. His name will be as the name of Muhammad.
3. He and Isa (Jesus) will rule for either 40 years (though these years are consisted of days not necessarily the same as 24 hour days)
4. He will distribute wealth.
5. His coming will be accompanied by the raising of a Black Standard.
6. His coming will be accompanied by the appearance of the Ad-Dajjal (the ‘Great Deceiver’).
7. There will be a lunar and solar eclipse within the same month of Ramadan
8. A star with a luminous tail will rise from the East before the Mahdi emerges.
9. He will restore faith to its original form and eradicate moral corruption.
10. He will fight for the cause of Islam and make it prevail throughout the world.
11. He will have a broad forehead, a prominent nose, and his eyes will be naturally mascaraed.
12. He will fill the world with justice and fairness at a time when the world will be filled with oppression.
