Rapid Weight-Loss Diet – My Personal Story

Posted by Matt in February 2nd, 2010

In the last month I have easily lost 20 lbs on a diet that I could have never imagined a short time ago. Modern weight-loss methods are so advanced that one can literally go on a 1,000 calorie a day diet without being hungry. The fat just melts away without effort. Imagine burning off .5 lbs per day without being hungry. How is that possible? Read on.

You can pretty much tell by reading 1913 Intel that I’m a conservative guy. So do you really think I would give serious thought to a diet called the “cookie diet”? You have got to be kidding me. This is a joke, right? Get out of here with this cookie diet.

Then one day my wife was talking to her sister about the diet she was on. Yep, you guessed it, it was the cookie diet. My wife’s sister lost 19 lbs in four weeks with this diet. My wife’s brother lost 12 lbs in two weeks on this diet. Now that got my attention.

So I did a little snooping around on the internet and found a lot of people were losing big time weight on this diet. And they were losing it fast without being hungry. Now that really got me attention.

So I ordered a box of chocolate chip cookies from “Smart for Life”. The box is a two-week supply of cookies.

Generally the way the diet works is that you eat one cookie every two hours. I start eating at 8:00AM, and eat a cookie every two hours. For lunch I eat 4 to 6oz of lean meat like chicken breast, plus I get to eat the cookie too. For dinner I eat another 4 to 6 oz of lean meat, plus I fill half of my plate with vegetables, and I still get to eat the cookie too. I stop eating at 8:00PM. Because I am 6’2”, the diet allows me to eat seven cookies per day. If you’re under 6’2” then you can only eat six cookies per day.

With each cookie you should drink one to two glasses of water. Also, you should take a one-a-day vitamin tablet each day.

Each cookie is about 100 calories. Your daily intake of calories will be around 1,000. Since most of this is protein, a portion of these calories are used to convert the protein into a useable form. In the end you will end up short around 1,700 calories a day. Since there are 3,500 calories in a pound, that means you will lose about .5 lbs per day on average. Some people lose more, but in general you should lose about 10 to 15 lbs per month.

The vast majority of people that go on this diet report that they are not hungry. Also, most people think the taste of the cookie is just fine.

How does the cookie work?

I spent quite a bit of time understanding how the cookie works. Milk and whey protein, just like weightlifters use, is a key ingredient. These proteins make you feel full longer. There is puffed rice and oats which make you feel full longer. There is also vegetable gelatin which gels up in your stomach to make you feel full. There is flaxseed meal which also gels up in your stomach to make you feel full.

The packaging doesn’t give us the name of the vegetable gelatin, but it is almost certainly Agar-Agar. Agar-Agar is a Japanese weight-loss technique that really works. The Japanese put Agar-Agar into tea or soup to feel full faster which causes weight-loss. The Agar-Agar goes into the stomach and gels up making one feel full. The gel gets digested normally, so there is no nutritional problem created by using Agar-Agar. Agar-Agar has no taste and no calories. The only problem with Agar-Agar is that it is pretty expensive.

Now you know that the cookie really works, and how it works. If you are serious about weight-loss, then you have to try these cookies.

Of course the diet has other types of food beyond just the cookie, but most people report that the chocolate chip cookie is the best at making one feel full.
