North Korea: Four Corners investigation reveals secret global business network

A SECRET global network of North Korean businesses are bringing in billions of dollars to sustain the hermit kingdom despite international sanctions.

Businesses with links to North Korea are active in parts of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and even Europe, an investigation by the BBC has found.

Some of the funds from this network are channelled through a mysterious government department, known as Office 39, that operates as a kind of slush fund for the royal family to maintain its lavish lifestyle, according to the report which airs on ABC’s Four Corners program tonight.
