Others assert that the Palestinian Authority Security Forces, trained under American supervision, will prevent the [...]

Although Monday, March 15, went by without an unusual level of Palestinian violence, aside from sporadic rock-throwing incidents against Israelis, Fatah factions opposed to Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas called on the Palestinians of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as well as Israeli Arabs to mark Tuesday as a “Day of Rage.”

As the United States steps up its campaign to impose economic sanctions on Iran, fears are growing in Washington and in the Middle East that Iran will try to trigger a new war in the region in order to shift attention from its nuclear activities, throw the U.S. and its allies off balance, and put [...]

RAMALLAH, West Bank — Palestinians were shocked on Thursday after Israeli TV aired a graphic video showing a senior official caught on a hidden camera soliciting sex from a job applicant.
The video, parts of which aired on Israel’s Channel 10 earlier this week, was shot by former Palestinian intelligence officer Fahmi Shabaneh, who has accused [...]

Signs indicative of an impending explosion are coming from every side: from Iran, Lebanon, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and also Israel, which is on its own against them all. Instead of trying to calm the situation, the region’s leader are sharpening their swords and trading verbal barbs. The evident weakness of the “world’s [...]

Since early 2007, Hamas has refrained from orchestrating terrorist activity against Israel from the West Bank, focusing mainly on its missile barrage against southwestern Israel from the Gaza Strip. Now, DEBKAfile’s military sources report, the Palestinian extremists have changed course. Hamas’ military chief Muhammad Jabary has established a new regional West Bank command corps for [...]

The conference comes in the wake of a series of declarations made by Fatah officials, according to which the movement has taken a strategic decision to launch a third intifada. Fatah is calling on Palestinians to stage wide-scale, grassroots demonstrations in the West Bank against settlements and the separation fence, though the party insists that [...]

How should one respond to a nonconventional attack? Doesn’t nonconventional bring forth nonconventional? Should an enemy of Israel use a nonconventional attack, then the appropriate Israeli response is nuclear.
How should Israeli use nuclear weapons? Does it makes sense to use nuclear weapons in a limited way?
I suggest that should Israel use nuclear weapons in a [...]

Rain on the streets of Bethlehem can’t cool simmering tension.
“The city seems a bit livelier than it was the run-up to last Christmas,” I said.
“Yes,” said Walid, who also happens to be a Palestinian weight-lifting champion (he dead-lifts 680 pounds). “But underneath, it’s very dangerous and everyone fears a Third Intifada.”
