I do not agree that China is “not a threat.” In fact, China is a threat because of its underground bunker system, nuclear missile forces and willingness to use nuclear force. Also, China’s increasing ability to interrupt American naval forces in the South China Sea is a problem.
“China’s Military Is a Growing Threat.”
Not yet. After [...]

China has acknowledged that its export-driven economy took a beating in 2008 and 2009, but Western analysts, most of whom are suspicious of Beijing’s willingness to concede downturns, think China may have even slipped into a recession.
With suspicious statistics, China obscures economy – Washington Times

Iran and Syria signed a strategic military defense agreement which speaks of a willingness to react together against regional threats from the “Zionist regime”.
“It is only natural for Syria, which faces the inhumane carnivorous Israel to remain prepared for any eventuality” stated Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi during the signing ceremony.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sent a message to Syria that Israel would discuss a Golan Heights pullout to advance peace, Arab media reported.
Satellite television channel Al Arabiya reported Thursday that the message, expected to be delivered by French President Nicolas Sarkozy to Syrian President Bashar Assad, indicates Israel’s willingness to withdraw from the Golan [...]

It is hardly surprising that China wants to supplant U.S. power in the region. To the Chinese, the reign of “the middle kingdom” is the natural state of affairs and the past 200 years of Western dominance an aberration. Nor is it surprising that China wants to reshape international security arrangements that the United States [...]

Rising Unemployment and Growing Social Unrest
The crisis has also exacerbated social tensions in Russia. So far, no serious threat to the regime has materialized, despite a wave of spontaneous strikes and the use of SWAT teams to put down a demonstration in Vladivostok. Notably, the Russian leadership showed the limits to its tolerance of public [...]

This statement is the naive keystone of his foreign policy of apology and appeasement. It explains his implicit willingness to impose unilateral nuclear disarmament on the U.S., his ambivalence on deploying additional troops in Afghanistan, his dismantling the Eastern European missile defense shield, and his toothless pursuit of nuclear containment in Iran without credible threats [...]

One needn’t be a military expert to grasp that the next war against Israel will be very different for Hizbullah than the last one. By most accounts the party’s arsenal has been upgraded. It may well have anti-aircraft missiles today, some are suggesting the SAM-24 (Igla-S), and the secretary general, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, has warned [...]

While Washington’s eyes are on the Afghan theater, aggressive political stage-setting is underway in Russia’s restless neighborhood. The Moscow powerhouse men are actively testing Washington’s willingness to respond to their diplomatic bullying of countries like Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, countries that the Kremlin perceives to be in its natural “sphere of influence”. How far can [...]
